Pastel Butterfly 1st B’day Party

It’s no secret that I look for some pastel lovin at any opportunity, so when my client Tiffany asked for a pastel butterfly party for her gorgeous little girls 1st b’day, I was all over it like a fat kid on a cupcake! And boy, did those cupcakes gets squashed… A massive gust of wind came in and nearly blew over the whole marquee and everything in it. It was touch and go, but with a lot of laughs and some quick fingers, we managed to pull it together and move everything inside. A few cupcakes and push pops were a casualty, but was a total miracle nothing else got damaged.

Lots of tulle, butterflies, ruffles, ribbons, boutique backdrop custom made by Style Me Gorgeous, pastel pretties and the most exquisite flowers by Cheryl at Rosehip Flowers made this party the lovely pastel beauty that it was. The amazing ruffle cake by Jodie at Get Frosted was the feature of the dessert table, along with vanilla and lemon push pops, strawberry & white chocolate mousse, raspberry macarons, butterfly cookies, chocolate coated oreos, oreo truffles, peanut butter balls, vanilla and chocolate cupcakes, mini lemon meringue pies and pastel meringues. The drinks table featured fresh lemonade and pink grapefruit juice with individual milk bottles and butterfly accents. The savoury table featured vege stick cups, cucumber and salmon bites, fresh sandwiches, and lots of other yummies.

Despite the natural disaster, I had a ball styling this party. A special thanks to Jodie from Get Frosted, Cheryl from Rosehip Flowers, Jordan from Jordan Kowalski Photography and my friend Alessandra for your amazing help.
